The ‘Rimini Proibita’ exhibition has been extended until Epiphany: the exhibition on Tondelli and Pesaresi continues at the Palazzi dell’Arte
The exhibition “Rimini Proibita. The words of Pier Vittorio Tondelli in the photographs of Marco Pesaresi”, set up at the Rimini’s Art Centres, will be open to visitors until 6 January 2026, thus running alongside the entire calendar of the The world’s longest New Year’s Eve.
The extension – by around a month from the closure originally scheduled for 8 December – will allow residents and tourists visiting Rimini and the Romagna region over the festive season to discover a an immersive journey through the Riviera in the 1980s and 1990s, told through the vivid and vibrant photographs by Marco Pesaresi and the words by Pier Vittorio Tondelli, a writer who epitomises a generation.

A story told through images and words
“Rimini Proibita” is a journey that weaves together two profound and complementary perspectives: the photographic perspective of from Pesaro, which powerfully captures the free, nocturnal spirit of the Riviera, and the literary work of Blanks, which, during those very years, chronicled the lives, anxieties and aspirations of young Italians.
Taken together, their works paint an authentic, at times melancholic, yet always vibrant portrait of an era that has left a deep mark on the collective imagination.
New guided tours with the curators
The popularity it enjoyed in its first few weeks prompted the Rimini Municipal Museums to propose new guided tours led by the exhibition curators, Jana Liskova and Mario Beltrambini.
Following the sold-out first event and the tour scheduled for Saturday 29 November, four new dates have been added:
- Saturday 13 December at 4.30 pm
- Saturday 20 December at 4.30 pm
- Wednesday 31 December at 6.00 pm
- Saturday 3 January at 4.30 pm
Participation is free, with booking required (maximum 50 people) via the platform Ticketlandia.

The exhibition is being held at the at 26 Piazza Cavour, and it is open from Tuesday to Sunday and on public holidays, at the following times:
- from 10.00 to 13.00
- from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm
L'Admission is free, but the exhibition is Not recommended for children under 16 for the topics covered.
