Weekend hotel Romagna

Weekend in Rimini, weekend hotels in RomagnaAnyone who decides to visit the Romagna Riviera finds themselves, whether they like it or not, immersed in a veritable ‘holiday legend’: the Romagna Coast is now recognised as socially as a tourist attraction.

But what the ‘myth’ represents (beach, music, fun) is not the only aspect that tourists encounter; they are presented with a more vibrant and intense holiday experience, full of unexpected surprises.

There are typical tourist destinations that are gearing up to ‘experience’ their own seasons, within a limited time, but that’s not the case in Rimini: Rimini plans ahead and presents itself to tourists all year round.

Rimini and the Riviera are never ‘closed’; with a versatility worthy of a well-run organisation, they adapt and present themselves in a way suited to every season: summer means sea, sun and fun; autumn brings social tourism groups and the organisation of national and international trade fairs; winter features New Year’s Eve celebrations in the square, concerts, conferences and cultural events; spring welcomes student groups, visits to theme parks and tours of the hillside routes.

The geographical location of the Romagna Riviera makes it possible and encourages people to visit the area all year round, even for short breaks such as a weekend away.

Rimini is connected by Eurostar and Intercity trains throughout the day to destinations across the country: Milan 3 hours, Turin 4.30 hours, Bolzano 4 hours, Venice 3.30 hours, Rome 5.40 hours, Pescara 2.30 hours, Bari 5 hours, etc.; by car, all the main motorways lead to the Bologna motorway junction, which is one hour from Rimini; domestic airports are located in Forlì, Bologna and Ancona – international airports are in Rimini, Forlì, Bologna and Ancona.

Hotels on the Romagna Riviera, open all year round, offer bespoke weekend packages: wellness weekends, conference breaks, fun-filled weekends for families and young people, the 25 April long weekend, the 1 May long weekend, and the 2 June long weekend – all fully organised for visitors, who need not worry about a thing as the hotels themselves prepare the all-inclusive ‘packages’.

The Romagna Riviera is home to some of Italy’s best-organised spa centres, such as the Rimini Spa and Thalassotherapy Centre; it is close to places of cultural interest such as Ravenna, Bologna, Urbino and Ferrara; it is close to the Po Delta; and it offers its own art and nature trails.
