Origin of the name
The name Saludecio probably derives from the Latin term “saluticius“, referring to a Roman agricultural estate (fundus). Subsequently, the parish church was referred to by various similar names, such as ‘Sancti Laudicii’ or ‘Castrum Lauditii’, and finally ‘San Lodezzo’.
