we worked to create a website of the Facebook group Sei di Rimini se...
The idea came to us by weighing up the pros and cons of our experience in running the group itself on fb.
The advantage of having a website is certainly that of easily finding content, which as you know within Facebook for technical reasons is dispersed and difficult to find due to the huge amount of posts published, and due to the fact that there is no simplified way to search by topics and categories (even a post written only 10 hours ago is difficult to find, and even more so for those from months ago!).
We have collected old posts to create an e-book (ebook) that you can download for free from this site. You can read it online from the site, or save it on your device and read it offline whenever you want, send it via email to a friend: the whole free!
We chose to do an ebook rather than a paper book, because we want a living, dynamic story that we can update periodically whenever you write nice posts!
We want Are you from Rimini if... become a site useful and a local landmark both for those who live or used to live in Rimini and for those who come here on holiday.
Our aim is to engage you all to describe 'your own Rimini', experienced first-hand, with unedited content and personal recommendations. With your reviews you can to democratically advise or advise against, any business, putting your face to it, thus giving a true opinion to 100%; you will be able to give practical suggestions to improve the city, or advise tourists on what is really beautiful in Rimini.
We would like to range from both historical and general information content, to everything a user could need and easily search for with just a few clicks to live and get to know the city of Rimini at its best, for example (where to eat, where to sleep, where to go to the seaside, where to play sport, job advertisements and various, companies and services, leisure time, where to buy a customised shirt branded "Sei di Rimini se...", where to take your dog when on holiday, and much more, where to read posts in dialect, where to see unpublished images and videos).
We know that the project is very ambitious and that it will not be easy to bring it to a conclusion, but we will try to do our best, taking into account the experiences we have had over the past months of running the group, which has now grown to 12,700 members!
We rely heavily on your suggestions and your concrete help, you can send us your ideas, the posts you liked the most, photos, videos, texts describing the city and the content you care most about, you can write to us at info@seidiriminise.it,
Or, armed with a keyboard and or touch screen, write down all the amusing phrases you can think of about Rimini. The ones that democratically get the most 'likes' will be published in the free ebook! We also welcome phrases in Rimini dialect, memories of Rimini of the past, and quotes by famous Rimini residents. You can also tell us about old posts that you liked.
The main objective is to create an interesting and detailed guide of all unobtainable information on Rimini. You are looking for a craftsman, a referenced seamstress, a recommended restaurant. We would like to create a truly useful at the free service of those who live in Rimini and those who want to come here on holiday.
Thanks to everyone's eyesto the emotions, to the history of every single resident and non-resident of the Rimini province.
You are from Rimini if... you love Rimini
