Rimini, the great summer destination, is known throughout Italy and beyond for its sea, its beaches with their fine sand and, above all, for its nightclubs.
One of the city’s iconic nightclubs is Altromondo Studios, which opened in 1967. It is one of the most famous nightclubs on the entire Romagna Riviera, a hub for young people and a mainstay that has been a symbol of fun for generations, including for local youngsters.
Every summer, Altromondo organises a different event every evening, featuring international guests and world-famous DJs.
The Riviera’s nightlife wouldn’t have been the same over the years if it hadn’t been for a landmark like Altromondo, which, with its futuristic sets, entertains all the young people who come on holiday to Rimini every year, because for any holidaymaker who hasn’t been there at least once, a visit to Altromondo Studios is a must.
In recent years, as the club’s reputation has grown, so too has the number of guest DJs performing there; in fact, Tiesto, Carl Cox, Gigi D’Agostino and many other iconic DJs from the house music scene and various other genres have performed there.
The foam party, which is held once a week during the summer, is one of the most fun and exciting nights on offer at the nightclub; as well as playing great music, it gets the young crowd dancing in a sea of foam, submerging them in it and ensuring its customers experience new thrills every time.
The nightclub provides tourists – and others – with a shuttle bus service; in fact, you can see it running all night long along the town’s main street, where it stops to pick up and drop off young people who have come on holiday and either don’t have or don’t want to use a car – and it’s a very useful service for reducing the number of drink-drivers too; and it’s all free, of course.
