The upper Montone valley is gearing up for a July and August packed with a wide range of events dedicated to children and classical music.
Two of these were presented yesterday in Forlì: the return of ‘Baracca e burattini’, alongside ‘Autorjtinera’ and ‘Acquacheta classica’.
Autorjtinera.
The series of three meetings with the authors takes place in one go, alongside three puppet shows for children.
“The event – explains Anna Lisa Bonaccorsi, the councillor responsible for culture – revives the old ‘Baracca e burattini’, which took place a few years ago, and combines it with ‘Autorjtinera’, thanks to the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Province of Forlì-Cesena.”
“The tradition of puppetry,” adds Angelamaria Golfarelli, curator of the festival, “complements the innovative aspect of discovering a children’s book by highly accomplished authors from the Romagna region.”

“Enchanted Tales” by Elisa Mazzoli from Cesena, suitable for children up to the age of 6, followed by the show “L’trafila di Garibaldi” by the Vladimiro Strinati theatre company; then it’s the turn of Maria Beatrice Masella from Bologna with “Hanna, Fou and the Sandcastles”, followed by “Characters in Search of Stories” by Mauro Medeot’s Fantulin theatre company, and ‘Non dirlo al coccodrillo’ by Stefano Bordiglioni from Forlì, accompanied by the show ‘Pulcinella e l’organetto’ by the La Bagatella association.

In addition to this, the ‘Acquacheta classica’ event has been confirmed.
“We have managed to organise this event once again,” adds Bonaccorsi, “with three major shows, one of which – the final one – is presented by the ‘Emilia Romagna Festival’.”

The event begins in San Benedetto in Alpe, in the Piana dei Romiti at Acquacheta, with the Quadrifonia sax quartet: Andrea Santini on soprano saxophone, Giorgio Babbini on alto saxophone, Letizia Fabbri on tenor saxophone and Julien Palai on baritone saxophone, who will perform works by Bach, Pachelbel, Mozart, Schubert, Joplin and Gershwin: in the chestnut grove at Valpiana in Bocconi, featuring Kaleiduo – Yuri Ciccarese on flute and Gianni Fassetta on accordion – performing pieces by Bach, Scarlatti, Braga, Monti, Rossini and Verdi; and finally, in the church of the Benedictine Abbey of San Benedetta in Alpa, with ‘Il violino danza’, a concert by the ‘Emilia Romagna Festival’ dedicated to Iris Versari, featuring Pierre Hommage on violin and Emilia Sintoni, a dancer, set to music by Bach.
